A 4.3-inch resistive digitizer on a USB touch controller fits under the stock bezel with two printed spacers — a working touchscreen without cutting the case.

Details
timmotools' 2026 build: a 117 × 70 mm four-wire resistive panel on a USB resistive touch controller, ribbon extended and the controller's four USB wires soldered to the AIO v2's USB, powered with aiov2_ctl usb on. Two printed parts (Screen_spacer.stl and Trackball_Spacer.stl) hold the digitizer so the faceplate cannot crush it and route the cables; the assembly uses six 8 mm M4 button-head bolts. The display itself is untouched.
Calibration is a LIBINPUT_CALIBRATION_MATRIX udev rule, or the same matrix in ~/.config/labwc/rc.xml on newer images. Built on a CM5 with the AIO v2 and 'should work with CM4 or standard expansion board as long as you can solder to the USB pins'; a stylus works best. Telespalla is writing a NixOS module for it.
