Rex's Ubuntu thread started as 24.04 in May 2025 and now carries 26.04 on his 7.1.y kernel, for DevTerm CM4/CM5 and uConsole CM3/CM4/CM5: external antenna set in config.txt, headers included, auto-expanding filesystem, driver overlays. The first post notes that kernel updates through his APT repository are restricted to the Debian builds, so Ubuntu users update the kernel by hand.
The OS directory also lists Ubuntu 24.04 from the crossplatformdev image builder, and the same Raspberry Pi Imager caveat applies: custom settings stop the image booting.
