AK-Rex builds the images most uConsole owners run. The Trixie line is built with pi-gen, ships desktop and Lite variants for the uConsole (CM3+/CM4/CM4S/CM5) and the DevTerm, and takes kernel updates from his APT repository; the external WiFi antenna is already set in config.txt, uconsole-4g enable turns on the 4G card, kernel headers are included and the filesystem expands on first boot. The kernel line is tracked in the thread title (7.1.y at the time of writing) and trinity's OS directory calls these images the safest choice.
Downloads moved to images.ak-rex.com in July 2026, and the February 2026 rebuilds add the newer screen panels. Two caveats from the threads: a CM5 Lite needs its EEPROM updated before it boots reliably from SD (see the NVMe boot entry), and applying Raspberry Pi Imager's custom settings stops the image booting. The Bookworm 6.12.y and 6.6.y threads remain the reference for the older releases.
