Details
TwisterOS is Pi Labs' Raspbian-based desktop with fifteen switchable themes (ThemeTwister), Box86/Box64 for x86 software, Wine, a Chromium media edition for DRM streaming, and the Pi-Apps and PiKISS stores. Rex's build (April 2025) runs it on his 6.12.y kernel for DevTerm CM4/CM5 and uConsole CM3/CM4/CM5, login pi/raspberry, with the usual antenna preset, headers and auto-expanding filesystem; it was among the images rebuilt for the new screens in February 2026.
One caveat from the thread: a DevTerm with a CM3 has no built-in display support in this image.

The community's recommended OS: Debian 13 on Rex's patched Pi kernel, desktop and Lite variants, for CM3+, CM4, CM4S and CM5.
