Bookworm 6.12.y (February 2025) is 'the last release of Bookworm' in Rex's line: the same pi-gen build, dark theme, antenna and 4G presets, headers and APT kernel updates as Trixie, for DevTerm CM4/CM5 and uConsole CM3/CM4/CM5. It was refreshed to kernel 6.12.67 in February 2026 alongside the other images, and the Sway-on-CM5 thread ended up on Bookworm because Trixie's wlroots packages did not cooperate at the time.
The earlier Bookworm 6.6.y thread (May 2024) is the forum's most-liked software thread; the OS directory lists that image as formerly provided by Rex, so treat it as history. The CM5 Lite EEPROM and Raspberry Pi Imager caveats are the same as for Trixie.
