Details

Rex's Parrot OS thread (July 2024) offers a lightweight Home edition and the full Security edition on his uConsole kernel, for DevTerm CM4/CM5 and uConsole CM3/CM4/CM5: login pi/parrot, antenna preset, headers, auto-expanding filesystem. DevTerm users change the Device line in config.txt; the uConsole is the default.

krokowitz's Parrot Security 6.12.45 image (February 2026) is built on Rex's work with RTL-SDR Blog V4 drivers, ALFA WiFi drivers with monitor mode and injection, and SDR++ added — CM4 with the original panel only. IamUSER's thread has the setup steps for the HackerGadgets AIO board on Parrot: create a new user first, fix the locale, install the hackergadgets-uconsole-aio-board package, add yourself to dialout for GPS.
