Lighter key action with 0603 resistors on the dome caps
markatlnk halved the keyboard's actuation force from about 500 g to 250 g by sticking 0603 resistors on the rubber dome caps as tactile bumps.

The stock keyboard needs roughly 500 g per key. markatlnk stuck 0603 resistors (about 0.4 mm thick) to the top of each rubber dome with 3 mm squares of double-sided tape; the tiny bump concentrates the force, so keys actuate at about 250 g with clearer feedback. It is fully reversible and can be tried on a few keys first.
desertkun's simpler variant a year later: 0.8 mm double-sided tape (backing left on) under the keyboard PCB gives a similar reduction without touching the domes; arbitar suggested a full-size TPU insert. beams' printed diffuser is the current take on the same problem.
